By using our platform and submitting information through our consultation tools, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following:

Purpose of the Service

This platform provides an educational psychology consultation service designed to help parents and schools understand a child or young person’s learning profile, needs, and strengths. The process is not a clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic service.

Nature of the Process

You will be guided through a structured series of consultation questions via an online platform. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are used to synthesise and organise the information you provide. All final reports and recommendations are reviewed, edited, and approved by a HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist, who remains professionally responsible for the conclusions drawn. Their name and HCPC registration number will appear in the report.

Voluntary Participation

Your participation is voluntary. You may decline to provide information or discontinue the process at any time. However, withdrawal after the report has been submitted may not be possible for data that has already been processed.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human Oversight

A Large Language Model (LLM) provided by the OpenAI API (https://openai.com/api) is used to process and structure the information you provide. The final interpretation, recommendations, and all professional judgments are made by a qualified Educational Psychologist. No automated decisions are made without human review.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

All information provided is treated in accordance with UK GDPR. Your data will be securely stored and only accessed by authorised personnel for the purposes of this consultation. Your report will not be shared with any third party without your explicit consent, unless there is a legal obligation or safeguarding concern.

Safeguarding

If information provided through the consultation indicates a safeguarding concern, we have a legal and professional duty to report this to relevant safeguarding bodies. This may occur without your consent if necessary to protect the safety of a child or vulnerable person.

Data Retention

Information you provide will be stored securely for up to 7 years, in line with HCPC record-keeping requirements and data retention policies. You may request the deletion of your data after this period or earlier, where legally permissible.

Limitations of the Service

This consultation is not intended to provide a formal diagnosis (e.g., of autism, ADHD, dyslexia) or replace a statutory Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment. It is designed to inform decision-making and support planning in educational contexts.

Parental Authority

By submitting information through this service, you confirm that you are legally permitted to share information about the child or young person involved and to act on their behalf.

Capacity to Consent

You must have the capacity to consent to the information provided above. This means you must be over 18 to access this service and have the mental capacity to understand the service offered. If you have any questions about the service’s processes please contact laura@kidsthatflourish.co.uk.

By proceeding with the consultation, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this consent notice
  • You understand the purpose and limits of the service
  • You consent to the collection and use of your data for the purposes described above
  • You consent to an Educational Psychologist reviewing and finalising your report
